Welcome to Week 9 of the IDP Dynasty Sleepers! This article highlights a handful of linebackers, defensive linemen, and defensive backs who might be available in your dynasty leagues. I sample my own 12-, 14-, and 16-team leagues to get a cross-section of players who could be free agents in your leagues. Let's take a look at this week's suggestions.
Dynasty Sleeper Linebackers
Wesley Bailey, LA Rams
This is a bit of a deeper dive, and only a recommendation in big-play scoring formats, as he's not going to be a volume tackler. But he can make some big plays (two sacks, one pass defensed on the season). He's getting just about half of the team's snaps every week, which is big for a rookie. If you're in a big-play league with some room on your taxi squad, give him a look.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr., Philadelphia
Yes, I know I've listed him here before, but if by some stretch of the imagination he's floating around on your free agent list, grab him. When Jihaad Campbell can't go, this guy produces. And who knows what happens next year with Zack Baun. This defense has no other younger linebackers of note except Trotter and Campbell, and we all know that this defense can support two fantasy linebackers. Trotter was one of the lone bright spots for the Eagles this past weekend.
Jackson Woodard, Miami
Another deeper dive play here. Yes, Jacob Rodriguez is going to be the man for Miami's linebacking corps for a decade, but Jordyn Brooks could become a cap casualty at some point, or could even be traded. Woodard will come virtually free, so grab him and stash him.
