Welcome to Week 8 of the IDP Dynasty Sleepers! This article highlights a handful of linebackers, defensive linemen, and defensive backs who might be available in your dynasty leagues. I sample my own 12-, 14-, and 16-team leagues to get a cross-section of players who could be free agents in your leagues. Let's take a look at this week's suggestions.
Dynasty Sleeper Linebackers
Ty'Ron Hopper, Green Bay
With Edgerrin Cooper on IR, a spot opened up for the veteran Isaiah McDuffie, who's been serviceable but not spectacular. Zaire Franklin got dinged, and in stepped Hopper. Hopper is definitely worthy of a look as he's far younger than McDuffie or Franklin. Look for Hopper to have an excellent chance of working alongside Cooper in the coming seasons.
Tahj Chambers, Indianapolis
This is a deep dive recommendation, only because of the history of Colt linebackers and the fact that CJ Allen has gotten off to a ridiculously slow start. Chambers is slotted behind Allen and the veteran Akeem Davis-Gaither presently, but outside of the highly touted Allen, there isn't much meat on the bone at linebacker for this defense. If you're in a deeper league and want to throw a dart, might as well fling one here.
Tyrice Knight, Seattle
Knight is likely rostered in most of your 12/14/16-team leagues, but if his current owner isn't paying attention, you might be able to sneak him onto your squad. Drake Thomas' ankle is problematic right now, and whenever Knight gets regular snaps, he produces. Even with the tackle and big play hog Ernest Jones IV lined up next to him.
