Fantasy Football Impact for Wan'Dale Robinson with the Tennessee Titans
Robinson reunites with his former NY Giant head coach, Brian Daboll, who arrives in Tennessee as offensive coordinator. Robinson was one of the more significant fantasy surprises of 2025, finishing as the WR16 in half PPR scoring on a Giants team desperate for targets following Malik Naber's season-ending torn ACL.
On the surface, he finds himself in a similar situation. Titans franchise quarterback Cam Ward is barely more experienced than Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, and the weapons around Robinson are uncertain. The Titans' production was led by two 2025 Day 3 rookie receivers, as Elic Ayomanor led with 89 targets and Chimere Dike topped with 48 receptions. Current free agent tight end Chig Okonkwo was the team leader with 560 yards. Veteran Calvin Ridley was expected to lead the team entering 2025, but his status for 2026 is uncertain.
Robinson's usage in Daboll's scheme has ping-ponged between one of the lowest average target depths, 4.8 yards in 2024, to an 8.5 ADOT in line with featured receivers in 2025. Granted, a portion of that 2025 production occurred after Daboll left the Giants, but Robinson's breakout 2025 season shows an ascending player entering his prime production age range. The Titans need it badly.
The Titans were flush with cap space as the franchise has gone through a rebuilding period. Wide receiver is a blue-chip position in NFL roster building; teams rarely let 25-year-olds off 1,000-yard seasons into the open market. No other available option comes close to the potential upside of Robinson. Of course, the Titans paid for the privilege, and now the conversation must shift from potential and upside to meaningful production.
His 2025 breakout has concerns, particularly a rookie quarterback locking onto a receiver in a lost season with an interim coach. His underlying efficiency numbers are encouraging as he maintained the same catch percentage, success rate, and virtually the exact same volume (140 targets both 2024 and 2025, 93 receptions in 2024, 92 in 2025) despite nearly doubling his ADOT.
The Titans may not be done shifting the room. After this move, it would be surprising to see them double down and select a receiver at their fourth overall pick, but there should be talent that matches value for their Day 2 selections.
Ultimately, the Titans' future and Robinson's fantasy production hinge on the young quarterback Ward. Ward struggled badly to begin his rookie season, sitting at five touchdowns vs. six interceptions following Week 8. He completely flipped the second half, putting together a 10-to-1 touchdown-to-interception run as the team moved to emphasize the young receivers.
Robinson should be trending upward following this move. He lands on a team desperate for his ability with a scheme he knows better than any player on the roster. How he handles the defensive attention and Ward's continued development are the most significant questions.
