Scouting Report
Chris Hilton Jr. fits the mold of a draft sleeper who delivers. A former blue-chip and the WR5 in the 2021 class, Hilton has spent his college career on one of the most talented depth charts in college football. Hilton was part of a loaded LSU class that included Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. While Nabers and Thomas took off, becoming first-round picks in just three seasons, Hilton battled injuries in three of his five years. He was healthy in 2023, but Nabers and Thomas dominated their final college season. Hilton was healthy through 2025, but his production was hindered by an LSU offense that struggled. All in, he ended his college career with a disappointing 41 receptions.
Hilton gets a fresh start. A two-time member of Bruce Feldman's Freaks list, Hilton has an excellent chance to post the fastest 40 time at the Combine. He holds a school record top speed of 23.7 MPH and was a three-time state high jump champion. Hilton earned praise for his performance at the Hula Bowl, which led to an opportunity at the American Bowl. There is a lot to like, but the reality of dealing with injuries and a lack of production remains, making Hilton a complete dart throw.
Rundown
Hilton may be the best athlete in the draft. He struggled with injuries throughout his college career and often found himself in coach Brian Kelly's doghouse for concerns about technique and effort. If he hits, it could be in a big way.
