Scouting Report

Eli Raridon is a legacy Notre Dame player with room to grow. His father played at Notre Dame in the early 2000s, his grandfather was Notre Dame's strength coach in the 80s, and his uncle also played college football at Nebraska. Eli Raridon was a high school basketball and football player and the No. 2 tight end in his recruiting class. He committed to Notre Dame as a four-star recruit and waited in the wings for his chance to play. With multiple future NFL players in the tight end room, Raridon wasn't the starter until 2025. He was a Shrine Bowl participant and had a strong showing.

Raridon has a lot of frame and potential, but not much refinement to his game. He's a willing blocker, but can't get his frame to a level that allows him to drive defenders back. Raridon lacks lateral agility, which is detrimental both in his routes and when stalk-blocking smaller defenders. He runs routes like he isn't able to deviate from the lines on the chalkboard and often collides with defenders in deep zones. He has a galloping gait that chews up space, but doesn't allow for quick-twitch movements.

Rundown

Raridon has the frame and athleticism to be a part of a strong tight end room and is still developing in a complicated position.
