Scouting Report
Miller Moss was widely viewed as the heir apparent to Caleb Williams at USC, but ultimately found his footing elsewhere. Moss was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and committed to USC. He redshirted, then was the backup for two seasons. The 2024 campaign was expected to be his breakout season, but he was benched after nine games due to turnover issues. Moss entered the transfer portal and committed to Louisville to be their starter for 2025. He was the MVP in the Boca Raton Bowl in 2025.
Moss is undersized, but squeezes everything he can out of his frame. His footwork is sound, his mechanics are clean, but he lacks the arm strength required to throw with high velocity or deep down the field. He scrambled much more at Louisville than at USC, and it worked a little better, but he is a far cry from a rushing threat at the NFL level. Moss either trusts his receivers or doesn't work through his progressions, as he often tries to throw to his first target without a second thought. He can paint the corners of the strike zone inside of 15 yards, but is prone to underthrows deeper down the field.
