On August 6th, the Footballguys staff completed a 20-round mock draft using the Footballguys Players Championship (FFPC) scoring format. Before we can look at the results of the draft, here are few of the details pertaining to the FFPC scoring and roster guidelines. After all, the details of your league are as important as the players on your team. For example in this scoring format, the tight end is awarded 1.5 points per reception and therefore has more value. FFPC also has the dual flex which allows two additonal flex positions from the RB, WR or TE. Knowing and acting on these important roster and scoring guidelines is vital in having a competitive and successful draft. 

League Parameters

  • 12 teams
  • 20 roster spots
  • Starting Lineup
    • 1 quarterback
    • 2 running backs
    • 2 wide receivers
    • 1 tight end
    • 2 flex (either a running back, wide receiver, or tight end)
    • 1 place kicker
    • 1 team defense

League Scoring

  • Offensive Players
    • 4 points - passing touchdown
    • 6 points - all other touchdowns
    • 0.05 points - passing yard
    • 0.1 points - rushing/receiving yard
    • 1 point per reception for RBs and WRs
    • 1.5 points per reception for TEs
  • Place Kickers
    • 3 points for every field goal of 1 - 30 yards plus 0.1 points for every yard thereafter
  • Team Defense
    • 6 points - for all D/ST touchdowns
    • 2 points - all turnovers
    • 5 points - safety
    • 1 point - sack
    • 12 points - every shutout
    • 8 points - for allowing 1 - 6 points
    • 5 points - for allowing 7 - 10 points
