It's tempting to give Breece Hall a wide berth with the depth at the position, Justin Fields at QB and a new head coach. I expect Hall, one of the most talented runners of recent years, to be let loose.

The coaches are talking about Hall as the cornerstone of the offense, helping quell fears of Justin Fields robbing goal line scores.

Justin Fields surprisingly likes to check down to his running backs, and Hall is the one who stands the benefit the most. He may lose some touches on the goal line to Braelon Allen, but Hall should be a key piece of the offense both as a rusher and receiver.

Aaron Glenn wants a committee in 2025. With the Jets' young talent behind Hall, that plan has legs. His only hope of returning value is becoming the team's de facto WR2, which is at least possible.

Breece Hall is one of the most gifted runners in the NFL. He has the talent to rival Christian McCaffrey as a versatile workhorse.

There's too much working against him to reach that ceiling. Is Hall truly back from the knee injury he suffered earlier in his Jets' career? Will Justin Fields and/or Braelon Allen hurt Hall's red-zone value? Why are the Jets so set on using Allen, a plowhorse in talent relative to Hall's thoroughbred skills?

It's the most frustrating utilization of talent at the RB spot in the league. Hey Woody, did Brick begin playing Madden after Hall was drafted? Get him the version with Hall at Iowa State, please.

Likely to split backfield, needs heavy passing game usage to deliver value.

He's an amazing athlete at 217 pounds. He ran a 4.39 40-yard dash and posted jumps of a 40" vertical and a 10'06" broad. He racked up elite production in college, totaling 1,149 yards and 10 touchdowns as a freshman, 1,752 yards and 23 touchdowns as a sophomore, and 1,766 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior. And he has already posted proven production in the NFL prior to and after his rookie season ACL tear. He's the total package.

Concerns about Justin Fields siphoning goal-like work are fair, but Hall is a big-play weapon who can score from anywhere.

Tanner Engstrand's new scheme should elevate him as a runner. If the system helps efficiency, that should offset volume concerns. His explosive ability should also lead to big plays.

He's too young and too good to fade too far. The team around him isn't great, but the coaching staff will have a plan for him, and his talent will shine through. I'm still high on him as a top-flight dynasty asset, at least in the short term.
