Irving had a great rookie season and an indifferent second year. His yards per carry dropped a full two yards and there was only one rushing touchdown. Yet fantasy managers expect him to return to his rookie form. The signing of Kenneth Gainwell shouldn't be impactful if Irving is back. But until he plays well, I am being cautious.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving ran 21 times for 165 yards and a touchdown and also caught 2 passes for 10 yards and a touchdown on 3 targets in Thursday's 24-16 win over the Dallas Cowboys. He was projected for 12.1 fantasy points (half-PPR) and finished with 30.5.
Bowles: Bucs need to 'find a way to split the three backs', Tucker to 'earn a few reps'
Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said the team needs to get RB Sean Tucker more involved after his two-yard touchdown run and fourth-down conversion in Sunday's 17-14 loss to the Packers. "He needs to earn a few reps. I mean, we've got to find a way to split the three backs kind of... it doesn't have to be equally, but, you know, a hot hand should be able to ride a little bit longer," Bowles said.
RB Bucky Irving returns to full practice
Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (glute) was a full participant in Friday's practice after being limited in an earlier session this week.
