Martinez is a well-built back suited for a heavy workload. He can catch the ball on check-downs and screens, and he has enough acceleration to deliver on Toss and Wide Zone blocking in addition to the power to push through tight creases on inside runs.
Martinez fell out of the draft and didn't make the Seahawks, likely due to his lack of proven special teams skills. If Green Bay keeps Martinez, there's a good chance Josh Jacobs or Chris Brooks are scheduled to miss playing time.
If the Packers' RB depth chart is healthy, the final 1-2 spots will likely go to a back with special teams prowess.
