"
Martinez has excellent power and contact balance. He has better speed and acceleration than characterized, and he can catch the ball despite playing in offenses that, by design, used the running back more as a play-action decoy.
Martinez has the skills to be an NFL starter. He arguably could have delivered in Pittsburgh without much drop-off from Kaleb Johnson. Instead, he's the No. 3 RB behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet.
Seattle's outside zone running scheme under Klint Kubiak is a great fit for Martinez. If injuries strike, Martinez could play his way into a starting role and make it difficult to remove him from the lineup.
