De'Von Achane

With a new coaching regime and uncertain talent at quarterback, tight end and wide receiver, De'Von Achane may be the entire fantasy offense in Miami. Opposing teams will know that so if Miami can get the other teams honest, Achane should be in for a big year. He averages 5.6 yards a carry, is an excellent receiver out of the backfield and can break a long run at any moment

Achane enters a new era in Miami under head coach Jeff Hafley and offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, whose zone-run system will look to replicate the heavy backfield production Slowik used in Houston. With Jaylen Waddle gone and new faces yet to emerge, Achance could be the first and second option for Malik Willis, especially early in the season. His outlook and touchdown expectancy hinge on how well Miami consistently performs on offense. 

Fading Achane has never worked out before, but the deck is stacked against him this season. Miami's shift toward more inside zone and gap concepts, the likelihood that Malik Willis will run more than he checks down, and an offense that will struggle to sustain drives are a lot to overcome.

Achane could retain his high-end fantasy RB1 value if Malik Willis' running sets up boxes for Achane to get huge rushing lanes. For this to happen, Willis must also have success as a passer and that's the reason for pessimism. 

Willis looked strong in heavily schemed game plans during limited time in Green Bay, but the offense and surrounding talent in Miami aren't as good. Expect starter value from Achane, but lower efficiencies and scoring while Willis finds his way in this new offense.
