Chiefs S Chamarri Conner played 75% of the defensive snaps (63) in his season debut in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Raiders. He started alongside S Alohi Gilman, taking over the role of third-year S Jaden Hicks, who played 29 snaps. With injuries to WRs Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton, second-year WR Jalen Royals played 38 snaps but had no catches on two targets, while rookie WR Cyrus Allen played five. Rookie RB Emmett Johnson played 17 snaps, including 12 on pass plays, and is settling into a pass-down role ahead of second-year RB Brashard Smith, who played two snaps on offense.
