Missed rookie camp and OTAs, broke out late at Ole Miss, and the Chargers signed Keenan Allen, presumably to start ahead of him. Maybe next year.

Ladd McConkey will be the slot who kicks out to flanker on occasion, and the flanker and split end roles are up for grabs. 

Quentin Johnston improved in Year Two. He's a better short-range option who can catch deeper targets that are uncontested than a deep threat who tracks targets against tight coverage. 

The rookie Harris has more of these skills than Johnston, but he needs more work with his details as a route runner against man-to-man coverage. If he can prove a quick study, he could bump Johnston into a reserve role. 

For now, expect Harris to earn a contributing role off the bench. He'll probably generate enough big plays to get fans and fantasy analysts excited and calling for him ahead of Johnston -- even if the film shows it's premature. 

He was drafted in the second round. He stands at 6’ 2.3” tall and posted a strong 38.5” vertical and a 10’ 05” broad jump. There is a lot to be excited about. He projects to start right away in three wide sets.
