Had a big garbage time edge last year, which we should not count on because Marvin Harrison is healthy, Jeremiyah Love is an outstanding pass catcher, and Jacoby Brissett may not be the quarterback in the second half of the year - or even Week 1.

McBride might have competition for Option 1 in the Cardinals' passing game this year if Michael Wilson in the Puka Nacua role translates as well as Wilson's stretch run from 2025. While Jacoby Brissett performed as a strong fantasy QB1 for the Cardinals last year, there's a legitimate chance Arizona to turns to rookie Carson Beck if Arizona isn't contending by midseason.
If Beck earns the reins, McBride will be the safest fantasy option because Beck isn't a great processor with intermediate routes downfield. We'll see the staff urging Beck to check the ball to the open McBride underneath.
While Beck could potentially pose a losing situation for big plays, McBride still has a high enough floor to earn the top spot on my TE board.

Jeff Blaylock
About a quarter of his PPR points and a majority of his touchdowns in 2025 came in garbage time. While he'll continue to have opportunities in garbage time, the downside to McBride comes from fewer of those and an improved run game. Nonetheless, he's an elite option.
