T.J. Hockenson set to become free agent next offseason
Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson will have the final year of his deal deleted as part of the recent agreement to restructure his contract, meaning that he will become a free agent after the 2026 season, according to multiple sources.

Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson has agreed to a restructured contract that will create an additional $5 million in cap space for the 2026 season.
T.J. Hockenson likely will have to restructure
Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson, in the third-year of a four-year, $66 million contract extension signed prior to 2023, will have a cap number of $21.3 million for 2026. At that price, he would have the highest cap number of any tight end in the NFL. He managed 51 receptions for 438 yards and three touchdowns in 2025, his lowest yardage total since joining the team at the trade deadline in 2022.
