Average Draft Position (ADP) can vary wildly from platform to platform. That's why we display multiple sources when presenting the Footballguys ADP.
On one site, you could be drafting against people who overvalue a player. On another site, that same player could be vastly undervalued.
Let's concentrate on the ADP from ESPN and avoid the reaches at quarterback when you draft on that platform. Your competitors will take players before they should. Let them.

ESPN Reach: Patrick Mahomes II, Kansas City
- What ESPN ADP says: Mahomes is the best quarterback in the world.
- Why the ADP is wrong: It's hard to argue with that, but it doesn't matter. The problem with drafting Mahomes at 52 overall is that he doesn't score as many fantasy points as several other quarterbacks. Last year, he was QB12 in fantasy points per game among quarterbacks who started at least two games. In 2023, he was QB13. We are encouraged that the Chiefs have discussed improving their deep game, but they also wanted to do that last year. Having the name Mahomes on your roster looks good, but the fantasy production has waned lately.
