Here are some players to consider picking up this week, if available, to get ahead of the other managers in your league. These players include potential bye-week fill-ins, players returning from injury, and defenses to consider in advance.

Week 13 Byes: None

Welcome to Week 13 and Thanksgiving week! Check your lineups early and often, as games are happening almost all weekend. There will be players on this list who are rostered, but we are at the point in the season when each league has one or two managers who have checked out. Enjoy a fantastic weekend of football and family.

Week 14 brings four more teams on a bye, so make sure you are covered there!

Beat the Waiver Wire: No-Brainers

In most leagues, these guys aren't available. But if you're fortunate enough to see them on the waiver wire, grab them.

QB Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals (52% rostered on Sleeper)

Even with losses, Jacoby Brissett is crushing it for fantasy football. He threw the ball 49 times on Sunday, only a few attempts shy of the career high of 57 in Week 11. He should get Marvin Harrison Jr. back this week, and it feels like no matchup is a horrible matchup for the quarterback who has finished in the top 12 in every week he has started this season.

Beat the Waiver Wire: Quarterbacks

QB Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (20% rostered on Sleeper)

The Dolphins return from their bye week to take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 13, which is a tough matchup. However, after that, Miami has one of the best schedules for QBs for the rest of the year. In the fantasy playoffs, they get the Steelers, the Bengals, and the Bucs, all teams that have given up at least 2.5 fantasy points over expectation to opposing quarterbacks.

QB Tyrod Taylor, New York Jets (20% rostered on Sleeper)

Taylor was manageable in Week 12 and is an option in Week 14, when four teams are on bye. The Jets face Miami that week, a team that gives up the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. That makes Taylor startable, especially in Superflex leagues.

Just a reminder to check your waiver wire for: Joe Burrow (76%)
