Busts on the Kansas City Chiefs
- WR Rashee Rice - 7 votes
- TE Travis Kelce - 4 votes
- WR Xavier Worthy - 3 votes
- LB Leo Chenal - 1 vote
- QB Patrick Mahomes II - 1 vote
Reasons WR Rashee Rice Could Be a Bust
- Jason Wood: I don't want to suggest Rice was Wally Pipped by Worthy last year, and still rank him as a top-30 receiver. But I do think the Chiefs have a crowded receiver room and will spread the ball around, leaving Rice short of his top-20 ADP.
- Meng Song: I think Rice and Worthy's ADPs should be flipped. Rice was highly dependent on volume that won't be there if Worthy and Brown both stay healthy this year.
- Matt Waldman: Let's set aside the legal issues. Rice may be at full speed, but the hidden issue about injuries requiring long rehabs is whether the body parts involved can heal fast enough when the weekly punishment begins. Think '23 Tony Pollard and '24 Kirk Cousins.
- David Zacharias: Off-field legal issues, two knee ligament tears, and Xavier Worthy's promising 2025 finish jeopardize Rice's mid-WR2 ADP.
- Jeff Blaylock: He's facing a suspension for off-field conduct, returning from a serious knee injury, and may have already ceded the WR1 role to Xavier Worthy, whose ADP is currently lower.
- Maurile Tremblay: ADP banks on uninterrupted WR2 usage, yet a possible suspension plus competition from Brown and Worthy create a shaky path to value.
- Craig Lakins: The questions here are "how much time does he miss due to suspension," and "is his knee fully recovered?" I'm much more comfortable taking this risk in the Round 8 range.
