Welcome to another season of Dynasty IDP Sleepers! The purpose of this article is to highlight a handful of linebackers, defensive linemen, and defensive backs that might be available in your dynasty leagues. I sample my own 12-, 14-, and 16-team leagues to get a cross-section of players who could be free agents in your leagues. Let's take a look at this week's suggestions!
Dynasty Sleeper Defensive Backs
Eric Murray and Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville
Both Jaguar safeties, despite being the snap share leaders in their secondary, appear to be only sparsely owned in fantasy leagues. They won't blow you away with massive tackle numbers or big plays, but appear to be steady enough as double-digit producers most weeks. Those in larger leagues should consider these two as bench or bye-week players.
Ty Okada, Seattle
When Julian Love is out, and even if Nick Emmanwori is healthy, Okada steps in and produces. This Seattle defense isn't quite Legion of Boom 2.0, but it's pretty good. Okada is a guy with a safe floor when given the opportunities.
Ronnie Hickman, Cleveland
Hickman is a volume tackler who doesn't do much else. But that fact pushes him into the "safe" territory for those in larger formats, where you start up to three safeties. As bye weeks are upon us now, you want guys like Hickman on your bench to fill in when you need 10-12 points on a weekly basis.
Mekhi Blackmon, Indianapolis
Blackmon's stats really jumped off the page with Kenny Moore II out. It looked like Mike Hilton may be the benefactor of Moore's injury, but perhaps it's Blackmon? A situation worth monitoring in leagues where you must start corners independently.
