Week 3 NFL Player Props
We'll be using many different sportsbooks for these NFL player prop lines. Our advice is to always line-shop at as many sportsbooks as possible to find the best possible line!
Tony Pollard Over/Under 70.5 Rushing Yards (Hard Rock Bet)
In two losing efforts this season, the Tennessee Titans have leaned on Pollard to be the engine of their offense while Cameron Ward gets up to speed.
Pollard has seen 18 and 20 carries for 60 and 92 rushing yards, respectively, and things shouldn't change much against an Indianapolis Colts team that has given up the fifth-highest Explosive Run Rate in the league so far this year.
The Titans have ranked 25th in Pass Rate over Expected this year, indicating they are content to run the ball, even against solid defenses like the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Rams. As a result, I expect another volume-driven week for the veteran Pollard.
PICK: Pollard OVER 70.5 rushing yards (-115)
Ladd McConkey Over/Under 20.5 Longest Reception (DraftKings)
While the Los Angeles Chargers' offense has morphed into a three-headed monster between McConkey, the ageless Keenan Allen, and Quentin Johnston, our opinion is still that McConkey makes the engine go.
With the possibility of a less-than-100% Patrick Surtain II this week for the Denver Broncos, McConkey becomes an even better start. While Surtain typically doesn't travel into the slot, he did shadow McConkey in one of the team's matchups in 2024.
The Broncos' defense just got dismantled by Daniel Jones and the Colts last week, thanks to head coach Shane Steichen's innovative method of letting Jones entirely rely on first-read targets (96% of his completions were to his first read), and I can see Chargers OC Greg Roman taking a similar strategy here. McConkey ranks 18th among NFL WRs with 13 first-read targets this week and thus should be involved early and often.
PICK: McConkey OVER 20.5 longest reception (-115)
