Sleepers on the Atlanta Falcons
- WR Darnell Mooney - 9 votes
- RB Tyler Allgeier - 3 votes
- LB Divine Deablo - 2 votes
- RB Bijan Robinson - 1 vote
- WR Ray-Ray McCloud III - 1 vote
- TE Kyle Pitts - 1 vote
- WR Casey Washington - 1 vote
Reasons WR Darnell Mooney Could Be a Sleeper
- Jason Wood: Mooney fell just shy of 1,000 yards last year despite uneven quarterbacking, yet his current ADP puts him in WR5 territory. If Penix elevates his play to match his franchise expectations, Mooney should deliver WR3 value most weeks.
- Maurile Tremblay: Dirt-cheap, and a full-time deep role opposite London gives him weekly splash potential.
- Julia Papworth: If Penix is truly legit and the answer in Atlanta, expect Mooney to be a solid WR2, delivering much higher than his current ADP. And if something happened to Drake London, Mooney could be a top-15 asset.
- Phil Alexander: One of the best values in drafts right now. Penix Jr. has arm strength, and Mooney brings deep speed. Sometimes fantasy football isn't complicated.
- Craig Lakins: Mooney is a great fit for what Michael Penix Jr.. excels at, and always seems to go overlooked.
- Hutchinson Brown: He came up eight yards short of 1,000 last year, has a potential upgrade at quarterback, and is being selected as a WR5 in most drafts.
- Mauricio Gutierrez: This season could be even better than 2024. Last year, he finished as the WR13 in receiving yards, and in 11 of 16 games in which he averaged at least 6 targets, he averaged 15.1 fantasy points per game.
- Ben Cummins: He's a fantastic athlete who runs a 4.38 40-yard dash and is being overlooked for the second consecutive season in Atlanta.
- Jeff Haseley: Despite putting up good, consistent numbers, Mooney is habitually underrated.
Reasons RB Tyler Allgeier Could Be a Sleeper
- Andy Hicks: His downside is his production over the last two years, which is well ahead of his ADP. If Bijan Robinson is injured or needs rest, Allgeier becomes more than a flex.
- Jeff Bell: Allgeier finished RB42 in a season in which Bijan Robinson played 17 games and sits with an ADP of RB50. Plus, Allgeier becomes a high-end starter if Robinson misses time.
- Colton Dodgson: One of the NFL's better backup running backs. Metrics were promising in his third season. Bijan Robinson is among the best backs in the game. Allgeier should still be more than an afterthought.
Reasons LB Divine Deablo Could Be a Sleeper
- Tripp Brebner: Atlanta is paying Deablo $7 million per season to see if he can be the next college safety that Jeff Ulbrich turns into a difference-maker at linebacker.
- Kyle Bellefeuil: The Falcons sought out Deablo's services in free agency, and he has earned rave reviews so far this offseason. He's a slightly better value than teammate Troy Andersen right now in IDP drafts.
Reason RB Bijan Robinson Could Be a Sleeper
- Meng Song: "Sleeper" is a relative term with a top-five ADP, but Robinson should be the No. 1 running back over Saquon Barkley given age and wear.
Reason WR Ray-Ray McCloud III Could Be a Sleeper
- David Zacharias: A classic injury-away guy. He's motivated in a contract year, has the support of his head coach, and returns kicks. No downside risk at ADP.
Reason TE Kyle Pitts Could Be a Sleeper
- Jeff Blaylock: He has burned fantasy managers for three straight years. The year before that was sensational, so buy the dip.
Reason WR Casey Washington Could Be a Sleeper
- Tipp Major: Washington has been impressing everyone during minicamp. If he continues to shine during training camp and the preseason, he might be worth a pickup on your squad.
