Arizona was surprisingly competitive in 2024. What's the vibe for 2025?

Spoiler alert: We don't hate it, but we still aren't sold.

Cardinals, Team Vibes

  • Good - 3 votes
  • Neutral - 11 votes
  • Bad - 1 votes

Staffers with Good Vibes

  • Maurile Tremblay: Kyler Murray's second full year post-ACL and a Harrison-McBride core give Arizona top-12 offensive upside.
  • Kyle Bellefeuil: The Arizona offense has intriguing appeal for fantasy gamers, with a weapon in Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr.'s potential year-two leap.
  • Julia Papworth: Trey McBride is a bona fide star, and I expect to see the true Marvin Harrison Jr. this year. That, plus the unsexy building up of the defense by Jonathan Gannon, sets up a team that could play spoiler.

Staffers with Neutral Vibes

  • Jason Wood: The Cardinals won 8 games last year. The win total right now stands at 8.5, so steady as she goes. The Cardinals are one of many teams we could see win 11 games and build momentum or lose 11 games and decide to blow it all up.
  • Phil Alexander: The Cardinals embody neutrality. Literally, nothing has changed.
  • Andy Hicks: This is a crucial year for Jonathan Gannon and his Arizona Cardinals. Kyler Murray has a losing record as a starting quarterback, and improvement doesn't seem likely.
  • Jeff Haseley: Is this the year Jonathan Gannon and the Cardinals take a step forward or step back? This is a crossroads season for Arizona.
  • Ben Cummins: Kyler Murray, James Conner, Trey McBride, and Marvin Harrison Jr. lead a formidable offense.
  • Meng Song: Kyler Murray has flashes of brilliance paired with ugly turnovers. He's also missed quite a few games, so this is an offense with fair upside but also risk.
  • David Zacharias: A middling team with middling Super Bowl odds and a moderately difficult strength of schedule.
  • Jeff Blaylock: They're a decent team, but they're several playmakers short of being a great team on both sides of the ball.
  • Tripp Brebner: Maybe it's the desert or maybe it's Kyler Murray's inconsistency, but no one has the Cardinals circled as a serious contender.
  • Colton Dodgson: It feels like 2025 is a critical year for this group. Kyler Murray, Jonathan Gannon, and Monti Ossenfort have to be banking on a step forward in their third year as a collective.
  • Craig Lakins: They have some relevant skill-position players for your fantasy squads, but it's hard not to feel like Marvin Harrison Jr. and Kyler Murray have failed to reach their ceiling.

Staffers with Bad Vibes

  • Matt Waldman: Bad for the offense but good for Kyler Murray, who has only supported more than one fantasy starter in the passing game once in his career, and they want him to hold the ball longer!
