5 Dynasty Running Backs to Target Post NFL Draft

Dynasty running backs are some of the most volatile assets to target in trades. Now that the dust has settled from the 2026 NFL Draft, here are the top options to target in your dynasty leagues.

The market for some dynasty running backs is like betting on crypto. There are wild fluctuations based on injury, perceived role, and even pre-draft buzz on new running backs possibly joining the backfield. Some of those fluctuations have mellowed out as we've entered the lull before the season starts, and there are still dynasty running backs with lower values than they should have. Here are five running backs to trade for in dynasty, with recommendations on prices and starting offers.

All market valuations are pulled from Fantasycalc, a website that pulls real trades in leagues in order to calculate values.

D'Andre Swift - Late 2026 First

In a class that lacks difference-making running backs, Swift is the perfect undervalued but still useful running back target. He's been a top-24 back in PPR leagues for six years in a row; the team added no meaningful competition; and his skill set makes him the team's primary receiving back, even if Kyle Monangai takes a handful more carries in 2026. With how weak the class is, his valuation of around the 1.11 is a little light, given he still has two to three more years of utility. If your leaguemates aren't interested in a late 2026 first, the hype around the 2027 class could make a 2027 second and third still a reasonable offer in both directions.

Braelon Allen - Late 2026 Second or Early Third

Yes, it's the New York Jets. But Breece Hall is unhappy with his current contract situation, Allen is younger than almost every running back in the 2026 class, and has shown enough ability to be a part-time starter when Hall misses time. It will have been over a year since his MCL tear in Week 1, giving him plenty of time to work back up to action before the season starts. Injury concerns and a limited role this season have kept his price relatively suppressed. Worst-case scenario, he's a cheap handcuff for a couple of years with spot-start ability. Best-case scenario, you just bought a starting running back in 2027 for pennies on the dollar.

Jonathon Brooks - Mid 2026 Second
