Welcome to Week 4 of the IDP Dynasty Sleepers! This article highlights a handful of linebackers, defensive linemen, and defensive backs who might be available in your dynasty leagues. I sample my own 12-, 14-, and 16-team leagues to get a cross-section of players who could be free agents in your leagues. Let's take a look at this week's suggestions
Dynasty Sleeper Linebackers
Kain Medrano, Washington
Leo Chenal suffered a season-ending neck injury, and Frankie Luvu was out last week with his own injury. Even when healthy, Luvu has been rather disappointing over the last season-plus. Medrano stepped in and had five total tackles and a pick-six. Now, the pick-six isn't a reliable stat, but if Medrano is playing second fiddle in the Commanders' linebacking corps, he could prove valuable.
Troy Dye, LA Chargers
Dye is 30, so this isn't a pick-up-and-stash recommendation. But if you're looking for depth or have been bitten by the injury bug, Dye is worth consideration in deeper formats. He is splitting time with Del'Shawn Phillips as the Chargers' second linebacker and has produced with limited snaps. He's got a half sack and a pass breakup so far in the early part of the season.
Jake Hansen, Houston
Henry To'oTo'o is out for an extended period of time, and Hansen has stepped in as the LB2 for the Texans. While his stats are far from eye-popping, he's getting the snaps and could be a cheap source of tackles if you're looking to fill a bye week. He'd be best used against a run-heavy team, giving him a decent floor for total tackles.
