Scouting Report
Omar Cooper Jr. was the final player to declare for the 2026 Draft. He was a three-sport star in high school, adding basketball and track. Cooper stayed local, attending Indiana, and was one of the few holdover players from before coach Curt Cignetti. His career showed steady progression. From redshirting in 2022, becoming a solid backup, to leading the team in receptions and yards in 2025, earning second-team All-America honors. Cooper and teammate Elijah Sarratt are intertwined in the school record book, with Sarratt's 23 touchdowns third in team history and Cooper's 22 just behind. Cooper declared early, with one year of eligibility remaining, after Indiana's national championship.
Cooper is a tough receiver, fearlessly working over the middle as Indiana's primary slot. He is a threat after the catch in the short game and extends up the seam vertically. He has excellent field awareness, as evidenced by his frequent sideline breakouts and, most famously, by his game-winning catch against Penn State. He made plays outside against high-level competition. However, his separation metrics raise questions about his overall top-end athleticism. His profile with Indiana has made him a rising name among fantasy analysts.
Rundown
Cooper is a tough receiver who wins through field awareness, frequently finding open space in a defense. He proved to be a key to Indiana's national championship, and that profile has raised his profile among scouts and analysts.
