Scouting Report
Rahsul Faison garnered little recruitment hype out of high school. He enrolled at Marshall in 2019 but did not play, and spent 2020 taking online courses at Lackawanna College. In 2021, Faison enrolled at Snow College, but still couldn't see the field. He saw minimal action in 2022 and then transferred to Utah State as a redshirt senior for 2023. He quickly emerged as a weapon. He got another year of eligibility and logged his first 1,000-yard season in 2024. He transferred to South Carolina in 2025, was granted a seventh year of eligibility, and finished the season as the Gamecocks' leading rusher. He will be 26 at the NFL Draft.
Faison is a smooth runner, effortlessly gliding through creases and arm tackles. He's got a big frame, but it doesn't impede him from having a nice bend. As a receiver, he displays soft hands and the ability to catch in stride. He lacks quickness in tight quarters, often relying on good blocking to hit chunk plays. He has some sudden, one-cut movements that help him evade second-level defenders, but he lacks the short-area twitch to win in tight quarters consistently. He also doesn't possess the long speed to consistently create explosive plays. He's a pro-ready back, but his advanced age likely caps his developmental upside, and teams may view him as a short-term contributor.
Rundown
Faison is a natural runner who can weave his way through a defense without losing a step, but an apparent lack of top-end speed and age make him a complicated evaluation.
