A.J. Brown

A.J. Brown takes over from Stefon Diggs as the main weapon for great franchise hope Drake Maye. Discontent in Phildelphia, Brown is capable of taking over any game with his talent. Barring signs of issues he should be taken as the elite receiver he is.

Brown becomes the undisputed alpha target earner in New England following his trade from Philadelphia, where his individual talent should come front and center. Brown has the potential to be a top producer on an offense with a capable and efficient quarterback in Drake Maye. 

Trade to New England raises his floor. 

I'll likely bump Browns' numbers that place him inside the top 10 at his position, if not higher. Still, I want to see if the Patriots keep Kayshon Boutte and monitor more about Brown's knee. 

The Rams claimed they didn't feel comfortable with Browns' knee and it's why they didn't pursue a trade. This could be true, or it could a way of disguising a sentiment that "the grapes were sour."

I'm inclined to believe the grapes were sour but it's spring and I can afford to use a cautious projection and ranking for now. While many will bump Brown to WR1 like he's Randy Moss moving from the Raiders, I'm not as sold on Drake Maye as QB1. 

The Seahawks destroyed Maye in the SB,  and Maye's processing and decision-making looked like much of the bad I saw at North Carolina. Entering Year 3, we may see opponents follow suit and take some of the luster off Maye's reputation. If this happens, Brown will be good, but not great.
