Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (hip) has missed practice on Wednesday, Aug. 19, but the team feels good about his health longterm, according to head coach Dan Campbell.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta has impressed in training camp. QB Jared Goff found LaPorta down the left seam for a big gain down to the nine-yard line Tuesday, Aug. 10. The next play was a touchdown pass to LaPorta over the middle, which has been common throughout camp. 'He had a good play down the field (Monday) on third down and he's a stud,' Goff said. 'He's the same guy every day and continues to get better like they all do and got to find ways to give him the ball.'
