Tucket Kraft is coming off an ACL tear but looks ready to start the season. With Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks moving on, Kraft may be more important to Green Bay than ever. I would be slightly cautious given his preparation.

Kraft was on a spectacular tear last season, racking up six touchdowns in just eight games before a torn ACL cut his breakout short. A Week 1 start is great, but it may take him several weeks before he settles in and shows us the form he displayed before the injury.

Kraft, like Tyler Warren, benefits from a scheme where the power running game sets up misdirection and gets Kraft wide open in the flats without a defender within 5-10 yards of him.
It doesn't mean that's all Kraft can do. Kraft has shown that he can win up the seam and over the middle when called upon. Still, the Packers' ability to scheme Kraft open with ease was a massive part of his production.
As long as Kraft doesn't have residual issues with his knee this year, an enhanced risk for most athletes recovering from an ACL, he should offer no worse than low-end fantasy TE1 value.
My ranking bakes in some of that risk.

Extension for Kraft before season unlikely
Tom Silverstein, from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports that the Green Bay Packers and TE Tucker Kraft are unlikely to agree on a contract extension before the season opener.
