Tyler Warren

With Michael Pittman traded and Alec Pierce having injury doubts, Warren seems to be a sure thing for top tight end potential. As long as gets more touchdowns.

Alec Pierce March ankle surgery and possibility of missing camp and most (all?) of preseason opens up an early season production window for Warren - especially if Daniel Jones is looking good this summer post-achilles surgery.

Warren showed some serious elite potential during his rookie year. He was pacing as a top 10 tight end before a late-season injury to Daniel Jones slowed down the Colts' passing game. As he enters year two, his heavy target share and clear role as a favorite red-zone threat make him an easy bet to break into the elite tier. We just need the quarterback play to hold up its end of the bargain.

Warren started hot for the Colts. He's a good contested-catch receiver who can also win in open space with his power. 

Warren is not, and never was, a multidimensional threat on the level of Colston Loveland. The Colts used Warren as a play-action complement to the awesome power running game of their OL and Jonathan Taylor. 

Indianapolis routinely snuck Warren into wide-open flats without a defender within 10 yards of him. There's no shame for Warren here: the Packers do the same with Tucker Kraft. This is good scheming, but top options win 1-on-1, too. 

It limits Warren's long-term ceiling if that's all he offers. He started hot in fantasy last year, but watch how the Pittsburgh Steelers limited Warren and the Colts' offense. 

This is will be the blueprint for limiting Warren and the offense if the Colts don't counter. Warren is working on his route breaks this offseason so he improve with match-up football. Warren is a safer bet outside the top five.

Warren started red hot but cooled as the season progressed, he should be the Colts passing focal point in 2025.
