With White out, Austin Ekeler active vs. Colts

Commanders RB Austin Ekeler is active for Sunday's game against the Colts. With RB Rachaad White out, Ekeler can help as the third-down back and kick returner, roles in which he has excelled. Ekeler is in a new system and only arrived this week, so his workload from scrimmage is uncertain.

Chig Okonkwo, Frankie Luvu will play vs. Colts; Rachaad White uncertain

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said on Friday that TE Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) and LB Frankie Luvu (groin) will play Sunday against the Colts in London, while QB Jayden Daniels (left elbow) has been ruled out. RB Rachaad White (shoulder) did not practice all week and was the team's only uncertainty heading into the formal injury report, though Quinn did not directly rule him out. The Commanders brought newly re-signed RB Austin Ekeler to London, and he could suit up right away. S Nick Cross (illness) and G Sam Cosmi (concussion) were ruled out earlier in the week and did not travel with the team.

Commanders expected to sign Austin Ekeler

Austin Ekeler is set to return to Washington, as the Commanders are expected to sign the veteran running back, pending a physical, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo on Monday.
