Jeff Haseley's Beyond the Stats Week 6 Jeff Haseley Published 10/11/2017

Did You Know?

Do you think Arizona misses David Johnson?  The Cardinals have only 14 rushing first downs this year in five games. Yes, that's 2.8 per game.

Running with authority! - The Chiefs are averaging an astounding 5.7 yards per carry as a team. Their worst rusher Charcandrick West is averaging 4.6 YPC on five carries.

Luck not on their side - Washington has only 3 first downs by penalty this season. On the flip side, Cleveland has 20!

On pace for 35 interceptions! - Cleveland has thrown 11 interceptions this year, while Kansas City, Minnesota and New Orleans haven't thrown any.

The Colts need all the Luck they can get - Indianapolis has only thrown two touchdown passes this season in five games. Andrew Luck, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

Sell high on Melvin Gordon?  The Chargers are averaging only 78 yards rushing per game. Only the Giants, Dolphins and Cardinals are worse.

No Fear for Alex Erickson - The Bengals have a league-high 24 punt returns on record. The next closest team has 14. Bengals return man, Alex Erickson has 20 returns himself.

The only team - Jacksonville is the only team with more rushing yards than passing yards, by 28 yards. The Ravens are next with -140 yards less than passing. Interestingly enough, Jacksonville has 7 touchdown passes and only five rushing touchdowns.

Cleveland is gonna Cleveland - The Browns have made only 40% of their field goal attempts this year.

Welcome to the Jungle - Cincinnati is leading the league with 4.2 yards per play allowed. On the flip side New England is allowing 6.9 yards per play.

Andre the Giant - Cardinals running back Andre Ellington is the only running back with two games of 10+ targets.

What a difference a quarterback makes - DeAndre Hopkins had four games with 7 or more receptions last year. He has four already this year.
