Super Bowl Prop PLAYS

Clyde Edwards-Helaire Under 30.5 Rushing Yards

Last week against a Bills defense that has struggled against the run, Clyde Edwards-Helaire struggled mightily running for just seven yards on six carries. This week he the Chiefs are up against the best run defense in football by a wide margin. This is a team that all but eliminated Aaron Jones last week forcing the Packers to go with a pass heavy approach. Expect Darrell Williams to still see a majority of the work as he has been the hot hand in the playoffs which will limit Edwards-Helaire’s touches as well.

Rob Gronkowski Over 29.5 Receiving Yards

On the season, the Chiefs have been one of the worst defenses against the tight end position. If you look at their pass defense, safety and linebacker are the two positions that stand out as the weakest as Juan Thornhill and Daniel Sorensen have both struggled at the safety position and Damien Wilson/Anthony Hitchens have not been much better at the linebacker group. The Chiefs have allowed the fourth-most receiving yards on the season to the tight end position and would be second-most of the teams that did not have to face Travis Kelce this season. The Chiefs have allowed 14 tight ends to top 30 yards this season including Gronkowski back in Week 12 who had 106 yards in the team’s earlier matchup.

Total Players to Make a Reception Under 15.5

Here are the players that are seemingly a lock to catch the ball. That gets us to 12

Travis Kelce

Tyreek Hill

Mecole Hardman

Sammy Watkins

Clyde Edwards-Helaire

Darrell Williams

Mike Evans

Chris Godwin

Leonard Fournette

Rob Gronkowski

Cameron Brate

Antonio Brown

Contenders (Players with catches in the playoffs, but not every game).

Demarcus Robinson

Byron Pringle

Tyler Johnson

Essentially, you’re going to need all three contenders to get a catch, and then someone random like a Nick Keizer, or an offensive lineman or something weird. If one of the contenders don’t hit, you’ll need two of those guys.

Player to Have Higher Completion %- Patrick Mahomes II -150

Of all the passer props between Brady and Mahomes, this one is my favorite. As good as Brady has looked for periods of time during this playoff, he is averaging just 55% completion percentage. Meanwhile, Mahomes is on a completely different level this post-season as he is averaging an astounding 73% completion percentage. Brady may have to throw more, he may even get more yardage in a garbage time comeback scenario, but completion percentage is the one that assures me that this should be over as early as halftime.

Longest Field Goal Under 47.5 Yards

This is a fun one, as even if they line up for the field goal, it is by no means a given that they will make it 48+ yards. On the season, the Chiefs have made a 48+ yard field goal in 5 of their 18 games while the Buccaneers have done it just 3 times all season. This does not seem like a game in which Tampa Bay will be kicking the ball from 50+ knowing that they need to keep pace with the high-powered Chiefs offense. With both defenses struggling to stop the pass expect a lot of drives to get down inside the Red Zone which will prevent long field goal opportunities.
