Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville (at Detroit)
Lawrence is coming off of his signature fourth-quarter comeback win against Baltimore, and as a reward, he’ll get to face the Detroit defense. The Lions have given up nine total touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks in the last three games (Josh Allen, Daniel Jones, Justin Fields). With Travis Etienne’s foot an issue heading into Week 13, the offense should likely rest on Lawrence’s shoulders, and he appears to be up to the task.
Mac Jones, New England (vs Buffalo) **Thursday**
Jones might not be able to win a quarterback duel with Josh Allen, but if he gets into one on Thursday night, then fantasy teams that rely on Jones might get a win. Last week vs. Minnesota was his first game over 35 pass attempts this year, and Jones posted 382 yards and two scores. The Bills pass defense has been on a slide lately, giving up five passing scores in the last two weeks after giving up three in the first five weeks.
Mike White, NY Jets (at Minnesota)
We all know what Mike White did last week; the only question is how much of that was White and the Jets offense and how much was facing the Bears defense that lost secondary leader Eddie Jackson during the game? The Vikings just gave up a big game to Mac Jones, so they aren’t that imposing, and this game is indoors, so it will be played under ideal conditions.
Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee (at Philadelphia)
Derrick Henry is slowing down, and he’ll be facing a stout Eagles defensive front that just added Ndamukong Suh and Linval Joseph, so if the Titans are going to win the A.J. Brown revenge game, it will have to be on Tannehill. He has been progressing as a fantasy quarterback since coming back from an ankle injury, and the Eagles pass defense was leaky against the Packers. The possibility that the Eagles get out to a lead at home against the Titans adds to Tannehill’s top-end range of outcomes this week.
