And then there were two.
As the NFL season reaches its final chapter, only two teams remain standing with Super Bowl Sunday set for February 8th. Below is a breakdown of the key injuries from the Conference Championship games, along with what they could mean for both the Patriots and Seahawks as they prepare for the biggest stage of the season.
Key: Position Player, Team | Injury | Projected Return to Play
WR Pat Bryant, Denver | Hamstring | Ready Next Season
After battling back from a concussion, Pat Bryant suffered an additional setback Sunday afternoon with a hamstring injury. Although he was initially listed as questionable to return, Bryant did not re-enter the game.
With an extra week of rest, my guess is that he would have played in the Super Bowl had the Broncos advanced, though his role may have been limited or more of a decoy. The rookie wide receiver had an up-and-down 2025 season but showed flashes of his upside. He will look to build on his success next year.
RB J.K. Dobbins, Denver | Lisfranc/Foot | Ready Next Season
Denver opened the 21-day practice window for J.K. Dobbins earlier last week, but he was ultimately ruled out for the Conference Championship. Similar to Pat Bryant (above), this projection is speculative given the Broncos' elimination, though it appeared Denver was preparing to have Dobbins available for the Super Bowl. Dobbins' career has been plagued by injuries, yet he has consistently battled back. He will have a full offseason to address his foot injury, and I suspect he will be part of a team's backfield in 2026.
