Career Leaderboard Climbs

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs

Current Stats

  • 1,004 receptions (14th most)
  • 12,151 receiving yards (28th)
  • 77 receiving touchdowns (37th)

Kelce can climb as high as Marvin Harrison's 5th overall with 1,102 receptions, needing 98. Despite a “down” 2024 based upon his standards, he still recorded 97 catches and has topped 90 every year since 2017. Hitting 90 would match Tim Brown for seventh most, and there is a gap after Brown to Terrell Owens' 1,078. Kelce should get into the Top 10.

There are multiple players he can pass in receiving yards, though the most notable is 896 yards, which would put him ahead of Jason Witten, who is 20th on the list and second on the tight end career list. Tony Gonzalez is at the top of the tight end board with 15,127.  DeAndre Hopkins and Mike Evans are just above Kelce, while Davante Adams is  307 yards behind.

Kelce can dramatically jump the career touchdown list with a jumble of players around the same area. He can get into the Top 20 with an eight-touchdown season. Kelce's career high is 12, and he had just three in 2024, but 15 would pull him into a tie with Rob Gronkowski at 14th and the third most for a tight end.

He is the Chiefs' franchise record holder in all three major receiving categories.

Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders

Current Stats

  • 775 receptions (43rd)
  • 8,088 receiving yards (112th)
  • 53 receiving touchdowns (126th)

Ertz recorded his best season since 2021 with 66-654-7 last year. He could climb as high as Irving Fryar at 33rd on the record list, though he would need 76 receptions. He can leap up the yardage board quickly, with Ricky Proehl's 8,878 at 80th overall being the most realistic high end, and slightly exceeding his 2024 total could get him to Mark Carrier's 8,763 at 84th. There are multiple players tied at every touchdown, duplicating his 2024 total gets him just inside the Top 100.

George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers

Current Stats

  • 538 receptions (152nd)
  • 7,380 receiving yards (144th)
  • 45 receiving touchdowns (187th)

Kittle is the only other active tight end above 500 receptions, though Evan Engram would hit the threshold with four catches. He is also the only other tight end inside the Top 250 in receiving yards, with 5,661 as that threshold.

Mark Andrews (51), Hunter Henry (40), and Marcedes Lewis (40) are the other tight ends who have hit 40 career touchdowns.
