Welcome back to NFL Prop Talk!ws
We began the 2025 season on a slow note, going 1-4 in the first week. Time to bounce back, though. Getting this article for free is a great reason to sign up for the DFS package, as it's just a small taste of what we can offer!
Prop Talk is Footballguys' leading NFL player props weekly article. We will use a combination of Footballguys' fantastic tools, rankings, and projections, as well as my insights, to help you understand whether a player will go over or under their weekly player prop number and potentially win some money.
Let's dive right into some Week 2 NFL player props.
Week 2 NFL Player Props
We'll be using many different sportsbooks for these NFL player prop lines. Our advice is to always line-shop at as many sportsbooks as possible to find the best possible line!
Daniel Jones Over/Under 0.5 Interceptions (DraftKings)
Jones got the benefit of the doubt in Week 1 by playing the floundering Miami Dolphins. However, a much tougher test awaits in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos, who just humbled number 1 overall pick Cameron Ward and the Titans. No interceptions from Ward, but the Broncos forced him off-schedule a bunch and made it difficult to sustain drives.
The Colts have better weapons than the Titans, but with a banged-up Jonathan Taylor, they may be forced into more pass-heavy situations. This is the same Jones who has 13 interceptions in his last 16 games. Bet the over here.
PICK: Jones OVER 0.5 interceptions (+120)
TreVeyon Henderson Over/Under 18.5 Receiving Yards (DraftKings)
Henderson just caught all SIX of his targets for 24 yards in Week 1 against the Raiders, and we're hanging another low line against the putrid Miami Dolphins? Oh yeah, we're jumping in here.
The Dolphins gave up 27 yards on three catches to Jonathan Taylor last week, and now a much better receiving back comes to town. Drake Maye gave his RBs eight targets last week, and that could continue here, especially in a matchup where the Dolphins could surprise and jump ahead early.
PICK: Henderson OVER 18.5 receiving yards (-115)
Khalil Shakir Over/Under 45.5 Receiving Yards (Hard Rock)
Shakir felt marginally used for most of the Week 1 victory against the Baltimore Ravens, but then again, the Bills did not look alive until that fourth-quarter surge. Shakir finished with six catches for 64 yards against the Ravens, and I expect him to have another strong performance here.
While it's important to note that the Jets play plenty of man coverage, I want to throw out Shakir's results against them in 2024 because this is a different Jets team. This Jets team just got smoked by Calvin Austin III Jr. last week, who lines up mostly in the slot, with slot CB Michael Carter really struggling. Shakir should be able to get by here purely on volume.
