Week 5 NFL Player Props
We'll be using many different sportsbooks for these NFL player prop lines. Our advice is to always line-shop at as many sportsbooks as possible to find the best possible line!
Drake Maye Over/Under 25.5 Rushing Yards (DraftKings)
Maye is certainly coming into his own this year, posting high completion rates while stewarding the New England Patriots to a solid start through four games.
We're looking at the ground game in this one for the Pats' signal-caller, as the Buffalo Bills have struggled to defend quarterbacks running the football:
- Lamar Jackson: Six carries for 70 yards
- Tyrod Taylor: Three carries for 21 yards
- Justin Fields: Five carries for 49 yards
- Spencer Rattler: Six carries for 49 yards
Maye is no stranger to the Bills' defense, given that he sees them twice a season as a division rival. In the one game he started against Buffalo in 2024, he had six carries for 30 rushing yards. He's 2-2 to this line so far this season, but should get up for this divisional matchup and get scooting.
PICK: Maye OVER 25.5 rushing yards (-115)
Jordan Mason Over/Under 69.5 Rushing Yards (Hard Rock Bet)
We are approaching dangerous waters for Mason. Originally supposed to be the handcuff for Aaron Jones Sr. and take some of the more damaging short-yardage and goal-line work in an effort to keep Jones healthier down the stretch, Mason has taken on a bellcow role after Jones went on IR a couple of weeks ago.
He's looked good, but this matchup is not the spot for Mason to have a ton of volume. The Cleveland Browns are a top-three run defense by every standard of the imagination. They rank first in the following categories, among others:
- Yards per carry
- Rushing yards allowed
- Explosive Rush Rate
- Rush Success Rate
This is a really tough matchup for Mason, who has not had more than this number in three out of his four matchups despite having at least 15 carries in three of four games. Adding to this is the injury factor: Three starting offensive linemen are out for the Vikings: RT Brian O'Neill, LG Donovan Jackson, and C Ryan Kelly. The backup center is out, too!
PICK: Mason UNDER 69.5 rushing yards (-115)
