Every week, I gaze into my crystal football to find deep-league and dynasty waiver darlings who could emerge in the coming weeks, so you can acquire them now for practically nothing. I'm looking for players with a plausible path toward playing time for at least a few weeks, but not necessarily this season. I'm only looking for players who are rostered in fewer than one-third of Sleeper dynasty leagues, because players above that threshold are typically already gone in deeper leagues.

Even the deepest rosters don't have unlimited bench space, so look ahead for potential holes as injuries mount and bye weeks take healthy players out of your lineup as you decide whether to take a flier on these potential dynasty stashes.

QB Jalon Daniels, Tampa Bay (24% Rostered)

Jalon Daniels bested veteran Jake Browning to start the season as Baker Mayfield's backup. Daniels took advantage of Browning's back injury early in camp to get long auditions during the team's preseason games. Daniels directed the drives that produced 30 of the team's 33 preseason points. He led Tampa Bay to back-to-back come-from-behind preseason victories, including orchestrating three consecutive scoring drives against Kansas City. Despite a poor performance in the final preseason game, Daniels had done enough in practice and during the games to convince the coaching staff that he should be the backup. "It wasn't so much the plays he made," head coach Todd Bowles said. "It was the poise he showed. The learning got better every week and day by day, and basically he beat [Browning] out."

Over six collegiate seasons at Kansas, Daniels completed 62 percent of his passes with 67 touchdowns and 31 interceptions in 49 career games. He rushed for more than 400 yards in three seasons, including his last two, and scored 23 touchdowns on the ground. Our Matt Waldman described him as having "a big arm with good velocity" and capable of picking up chunk plays on the ground. Mayfield plays through injuries, and he just signed a contract extension, so Daniels may not see much action anytime soon. He's worth a deep bench spot in Superflex formats as a potential fill-in starter if Mayfield were to miss time. If managers wait until then to pick him up off waivers, the price will be considerably higher, especially if doing so coincided with multiple teams being on bye. If nothing else, he would be trade bait for the Mayfield manager, who might give you an essentially free third-round pick for him.

WR Jahdae Walker, Chicago (7% Rostered)
