Every week, I gaze into my crystal football to find deep-league and dynasty waiver darlings who could emerge in the coming weeks, so you can acquire them now for practically nothing. I'm looking for players with a plausible path toward playing time for at least a few weeks, but not necessarily this season. I'm only looking for players who are rostered in fewer than one-third of Sleeper dynasty leagues, because players above that threshold are typically already gone in deeper leagues.

Even the deepest rosters don't have unlimited bench space. Look ahead for holes as injuries mount and bye weeks take healthy players out of your lineup as you decide whether to take a flier on these potential dynasty stashes.

WR Reggie Virgil, Arizona (6% Rostered)

The Cardinals traded underperforming wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Texans, shifting his high snap share at X receiver to other players, but targets won't necessarily follow. Harrison averaged just over three targets a game since Week 11 of last season, and he was targeted 86 times on 772 snaps since 2025. Journeyman receiver Jalen Brooks took Harrison's role in Week 5, with Simi Fehoko rotating in occasionally, after Harrison was a healthy scratch. However, neither player is a long-term solution for the Cardinals, and both are free agents after this season.

Arizona selected Virgil in the fifth round of this year's NFL Draft out of Texas Tech, where he caught 57 passes for 705 yards and six touchdowns as the primary X receiver. He transferred there after the 2024 season from Miami of Ohio, where he averaged 20 yards per reception as their field-stretcher. Virgil reportedly received more than a dozen offers while in the transfer portal before ultimately choosing Texas Tech. His length and quickness let him win routes downfield, and his hands shine in contested-catch situations. Top defenders will likely focus on Michael Wilson and Trey McBride, giving Virgil chances to outrun lesser cornerbacks and safeties.

As the 1-4 Cardinals continue to fade in the standings, I expect them to give rookie Reggie Virgil an extended audition to see if he can be a longer-term solution at X receiver. He was active for the first time this week and was targeted five times at an average depth of 13 yards, mostly in garbage time. He's a longer-term play unlikely to help contenders this season, but he's worth a deep-bench stash as a bye-week fill-in or injury replacement in deeper lineups. He has weekly boom potential as a deep threat for an offense that frequently plays from behind.

RB Corey Kiner, New England (4% Rostered)
