The injuries and poor play are not letting up, but there are players who can be the balm on your wounds.
Here's a look at the big names you should be looking for this week.
Jordan Mason (RB-MIN)
Bid Recommendation: 25-50% of Annual FAAB Budget
The Vikings continue to be a defense- and running-game-led team and should stay true to that template for as long as they can. Mason will be fresh coming off injured reserve once his thumb heals, and he's ready to serve as an RB2/Flex. Aaron Jones Sr. has been excellent and tough as the lead back while Mason has been out, but he'll need to have his workload scaled back so he doesn't wear down.
Keon Coleman (WR-BUF)
Bid Recommendation: 20-40% of Annual FAAB Budget
Coleman gained trust from Josh Allen in Week 4, making three big catches to give the team a chance to win in a back-and-forth affair with the rival Patriots. He'll be a starter and worthy of a WR3/Flex spot until DJ Moore comes back from his shoulder re-injury - which will likely sideline him for multiple weeks - and because of the high production level of this offense, Coleman's value could surprise even after Moore returns.
Khalil Shakir (WR-BUF)
Bid Recommendation: 20-40% of Annual FAAB Budget
Shakir stepped up into a larger role with DJ Moore out, which could be the case for at least the next few weeks, giving Shakir WR3/Flex value in this high-powered offense. Josh Allen has been getting careless with the ball and could benefit from targeting Shakir more often and moving the offense with more patience anyway. Shakir has extra value in PPR leagues, and his value could persist after Moore returns.
Tyreek Hill (WR-FA)
Bid Recommendation: 15-30% of Annual FAAB Budget
It's time to take a chance on Hill, who reportedly has been in contact with the Chiefs, who just lost Tyquan Thornton for the year and Rashee Rice for at least a few weeks. Hill is coming back from a catastrophic knee injury, but he and Patrick Mahomes II have undeniable chemistry, and Mahomes rediscovered his deep ball this season.
C.J. Stroud (QB-HOU)
Bid Recommendation: 15-30% of Annual FAAB Budget
The Texans are 0-4, but Stroud isn't the reason why. If anything, he's the main reason they have been in three of the four games until the end. The running game is a non-starter, so this offense is going to run through Stroud, which will make him a high-floor QB1 for fantasy now that Nico Collins is back, especially in good matchups like this week vs. Tennessee. He might still be available on the waiver wire in short bench leagues. Did we mention that Tank Dell's return window is going to be opened this week?
Emanuel Wilson (RB-SEA)
Bid Recommendation: 15-30% of Annual FAAB Budget
Jadarian Price was placed on injured reserve after aggravating his chest injury, giving Wilson the opportunity to handle early-down work in Week 4. He scored twice and gave 21 high-effort/low-efficiency carries, which is all the Seahawks need from him until Zach Charbonnet is ready to play. That will probably take at least another week or two, and Wilson has situated himself as a committee back to pair with Charbonnet even after he returns. This offense should be one of the league's highest-scoring units, and the defense should create good game scripts for Wilson. He's an underrated pickup who is probably undervalued by most on the wire this week.
