IDP Dynasty Sleepers: Week 3

Welcome to Week 3 of the IDP Dynasty Sleepers! This article highlights a handful of linebackers, defensive linemen, and defensive backs who might be available in your dynasty leagues. I sample my own 12-, 14-, and 16-team leagues to get a cross-section of players who could be free agents in your leagues. Let's take a look at this week's suggestions.

Dynasty Sleeper Linebackers

Christian Elliss, New England

The lesser of the Elliss linebacker brothers, Christian has been the definite #2 linebacker for the Patriots, lining up alongside the veteran Robert Spillane.  Elliss is 27, so he's not the kind of dynasty add where you're just going to stash him. But he's been on the field for all but one defensive snap this season, so if you're looking for a guy who can fill up the box score (though he won't be a volume tackler), check him out.  He's a solid bye-week filler or third/fourth linebacker in most formats.

Branson Combs, Jacksonville

Combs started his rookie season with a flash: four total tackles and a sack in Week 1, in only 15 defensive snaps.  Ventrell Miller has all of the measurables, but has run hot and cold in his time with the Jags.  With Devin Lloyd now up the road in Carolina, there's a hole at linebacker that is currently plugged by Miller, but if he continues to be up and down, look for Combs (in his second year out of Wake Forest) to be the second linebacker alongside the stalwart Foyesade Oluokun.

Kendal Daniels, Atlanta

While his stats through two weeks aren't anything to write home about, he's outsnapping the veteran Christian Harris by a country mile.  He's quite apparently the second linebacker for the Falcons, lining up alongside Divine Deablo.  Daniels, a rookie out of Oklahoma, is definitely worth a taxi squad stash at this point.
