NFL teams have recently shifted to a committee approach to defensive line deployment, changing how IDP managers draft. Instead of having defensive linemen on each team play a near-every-down role, teams deploy players as pass-rush/run-down specialists. This has opened the door to more IDP streaming options.
Streaming positions is key to winning leagues. You can't nail down every roster position with studs. You'll always walk away with one position group feeling thin. This weekly article will cover IDP streaming matchups for the IDL and Edge positions to help you win your leagues.
We had mixed results in Week 4 with our IDP streaming. Both Cameron Thomas and Lukas Van Ness were borderline hits. Neither made the big play, but both had at least four tackles. Not bad for a weekly streamer. Ed Oliver, our sleeper IDL, finished with three tackles and a half-sack. Let's take a look at the top IDP streaming options for Week 5.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Arik Armstead, Jacksonville Jaguars
Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles - Ranked 9th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Armstead is easily coming off of his best game of the season in Week 4. He finished with six pressures and a sack. The entire Jaguars defense was getting after Joe Burrow with a 34.5% pressure rate, per ESPN. I look forward to a big Week 5 for them against a now-struggling Eagles offensive line.
Arik Armstead has 10 pressures over the last two weeks, including this sack on Sunday. Check out JHA against Amarius Mims, too https://t.co/jxKzlDkxHl

The Eagles, who have allowed 12 sacks this season, are tied for the 4th-most. Lane Johnson also just retired on the spot, and the Eagles traded Cam Jurgens, further weakening a struggling unit. Armstead and the entire Jaguars defensive line should be fired up and are a great IDP streaming option for Week 5.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Malcolm Roach, Denver Broncos
Matchup: Los Angeles Chargers - Ranked 20th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Roach has the luxury of playing next to stud interior lineman, Zach Allen. Allen has been an absolute wrecking ball this year. Roach plays more of a cleanup role and run stuffer, but has provided 10 pressures and a sack himself in 2026.
The Chargers' offense seems to be lost. Fans are waiting for them to explode under Mike McDaniel, but they just haven't, and they actually look worse than they have in years. Their offensive line has allowed 12 sacks this season, tied for the 4th-most. Rashawn Slater is also out with an ankle injury. Roach is a solid IDP streaming option for Week 5.
IDP Streaming Option: Edge Donovan Ezeiruaku, Dallas Cowboys
