NFL teams have recently shifted to a committee approach to defensive line deployment, changing how IDP managers draft. Instead of having defensive linemen on each team play nearly every down, teams deploy players as pass-rush/run-down specialists. This has opened the door to more IDP streaming options.
Streaming positions is key to winning leagues. You can't fill every roster spot with studs. You'll always walk away with one position group feeling thin. This weekly article covers IDP streaming matchups for the IDL and EDGE positions to help you win your league.
Both of our IDP streaming IDL from Week 7 hit. Though they didn't provide splash plays, Zach Sieler and Sheldon Rankins each dropped five tackles. That is great tackle volume from your IDL position. Our IDP streaming edge defenders were both a miss. The Browns have allowed the most sacks in the NFL, but only allowed one against Jermaine Johnson II and the Titans. It may also be time to end the streaming against the Buccaneers' offensive line. They seem to have hit their stride and allowed no sacks in Week 7. Here are the top IDP streaming options for Week 8.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Arik Armstead, Jacksonville Jaguars
Matchup: Indianapolis Colts - Ranked 16th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Armstead isn't the player he was in the early 2020s. Let's not get that skewed. He can still put up big numbers in plus matchups. His 17% pass-rush win rate (per ESPN) ranks 14th among all interior defensive linemen. Armstead has a perfect-storm matchup this week.
The Colts just traded Quenton Nelson, their 6-time All-Pro offensive guard, to the Seahawks. Daniel Jones also looks like a shell of his pre-injury self in 2025. His poor pocket awareness, combined with his lackluster receiving corps, makes him an easy matchup to attack. They have allowed 19 sacks so far in 2026, the 7th most. Armstead and the Jaguars are coming off a bye week, and the Colts are on fire sale. Armstead is a great IDP streaming option for Week 8.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Braden Fiske, Los Angeles Rams
Matchup: Los Angeles Chargers - Ranked 24th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Fiske's arrow is pointing up. Kobie Turner is out for 6-10 weeks with an injury. Aaron Donald still requires plenty of attention. Fiske's 18% pass-rush win rate has him tied for 8th-best among all interior defensive linemen. He has a 53.4% snap share this season, but it rose to 63% without Turner. With that increased usage, he dropped four tackles and recorded his first sack of the season.

The Rams stay in Los Angeles to play the Chargers in Week 8. Their offensive line is ugly in every way right now. They'll likely get Joe Alt back in Week 8, but they're still missing Rashawn Slater. Fiske is a terrific IDP streaming option for Week 8.
IDP Streaming Option: Edge Alex Highsmith, Pittsburgh Steelers
