NFL teams have recently shifted to a committee approach to defensive line deployment, changing how IDP managers draft. Instead of having defensive linemen on each team play nearly every down, teams deploy players as pass-rush/run-down specialists. This has opened the door to more IDP streaming options.
Streaming positions is key to winning leagues. You can't fill every roster spot with studs. You'll always walk away with one position group feeling thin. This weekly article covers IDP streaming matchups for the IDL and EDGE positions to help you win your league.
We had a 60% hit rate last week with Arik Armstead, Alex Highsmith, and our sleeper Josaiah Stewart all posting a half-sack or more. Let's take a look at the top IDP streaming options for Week 9.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Malcolm Roach, Denver Broncos
Matchup: Carolina Panthers - Ranked 28th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Roach has never been known for his pass-rushing prowess. He posted his career-high in sacks in 2025, finishing the season with four. He currently sits on three-and-a-half sacks through Week 8 this year. One reason is that he is playing next to Zach Allen, one of the top interior defensive linemen in the NFL this year. Roach has the glory of less attention.
They play the Panthers in Week 9, who have allowed 23 sacks this season. That ties them for the second-most allowed in 2026. Roach also provides a solid tackle floor, averaging three tackles per game. He is a solid IDP streaming option for Week 9.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Arik Armstead, Jacksonville Jaguars
Matchup: Baltimore Ravens - Ranked 25th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Armstead is more of a shell of his former self, but he is still a good IDP streaming option in plus matchups. He proved it last week, coming away with three tackles and a half-sack. Armstead has quietly been a force on the Jaguars' interior. His 17% pass-rush win rate is 18th best among all qualifying interior defensive linemen.
The Ravens are starting undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano in Week 9. They have also allowed 22 sacks this season, the 9th most, just one shy of the 2nd most. This is another plus matchup for Armstead, making him a strong IDP streaming option for Week 9.
IDP Streaming Option: Edge Kayvon Thibodeaux, New York Giants
