NFL teams have recently shifted to a committee approach to defensive line deployment, changing how IDP managers draft. Instead of having defensive linemen on each team play nearly every down, teams deploy players as pass-rush/run-down specialists. This has opened the door to more IDP streaming options.
Streaming positions is key to winning leagues. You can't fill every roster spot with studs. You'll always walk away with one position group feeling thin. This weekly article covers IDP streaming matchups for the IDL and Edge positions to help you win your league.
Week 5 was a bust for our deep streaming article. Several players reached the three-tackle mark, but nobody came away with a splash play. That is what you are really hoping for when streaming. Let's look at the top IDP streaming options for Week 6.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Nnamdi Madubuike, Baltimore Ravens
Matchup: Cleveland Browns - Ranked 18th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
It's been a while since Madubuike was considered an elite IDL option for IDP managers. He's struggled a bit with his pass rush since returning from his neck injury, with a 57.6 pass rush grade, per PFF, ranking 93rd among 133 qualified interior defensive linemen. Let's not forget: in 2023, Madubuike racked up 13 sacks, earning All-Pro honors. He is just 28 years old. This may be a comfort thing. Once he has confidence in his body, the man could explode again.
The Week 6 matchup is a perfect place to start. The Browns have allowed the most sacks in the NFL with 19. Madubuike will look to ramp up his usage and get back to his former self. He is a strong Week 6 IDP streaming option.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Milton Williams, New England Patriots
Matchup: New York Jets - Ranked 19th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Williams was a major breakout candidate when he joined the Patriots from the Eagles, poised to become a full-time starter. Though he has played well, it hasn't been the IDP breakout we hoped for. Still, he is worth streaming in the right matchups. His 20% pass-rush win rate ranks 9th among interior defensive linemen.
Milton Williams is going somewhat under the radar this season, but it's not his fault. He's tied for 4th in the league being double teamed a ridiculous 81% of the time. But still has one of the highest pass rush win rates. His big plays will come. But stuff like this is always welcome even if it doesn't "show up on the stat sheet" necessarily.

The Jets are one of those matchups to exploit. Their left guard, Dylan Parham, is week-to-week with a knee injury, and the Jets have allowed 16 sacks this season. That is the 4th-most in the NFL. Williams has a good chance to make a splash, making him a great IDP streaming option for Week 6.
IDP Streaming Option: Edge Dre'Mont Jones, New England Patriots
