Gibbs offers elite speed and heavy target volume in Detroit's potent offense. If newcomer Isiah Pacheco has a much smaller touch share, Gibbs could be an absolute gem this season.

It shouldn't be possible, but Gibbs has a path to outperform expectations despite being projected as the No. 1 overall fantasy player. With David Montgomery gone, expect his receiving volume and touchdown production to rival some of the greatest running back seasons ever.

Gibbs has been one of the most versatile and highest scoring fantasy RBs for the past two seasons. Although the Lions lost valuable offensive linemen last season, Gibbs remained a top-three producer at the position.
Expect the same from Gibbs entering his fourth season. Gibbs and Bijan Robinson have the best combination of skills and youth. Christian McCaffrey has the best combination of skills and system.
I argued for McCaffrey last year as RB1. This year, It's Gibbs because of the continuity with the offensive personnel.

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with the Lions Thursday, Aug. 6, worth $67.5 million. The deal includes $51.5 million in guaranteed money and could be worth as much as $75.75 million.

It appears the Lions have a hold-in on their hands. Via multiple reporters on the scene, running back Jahmyr Gibbs did not participate in Wednesday's practice to open training camp. The Lions posted a picture of Gibbs having reported, which is an indication of a hold-in as opposed to a hold-out.
