A Guillotine league usually consists of 18 teams. Each week, the lowest-scoring team is eliminated. The players on their roster then become free agents.

Your strategy needs to change with such a high number of participants and other format changes.

To help you with this unique format, we asked our staff questions. Here is the latest.

In an 18-team league, having a top-six pick means your second-round selection is out of the Top 30. How does that influence what you do in Round 1?

Jason Wood, Pick 1.01

I should preface my response by acknowledging that this was my first Guillotine league. Since I had the first overall (1.01) pick, it was an easy choice to go with the best player available, regardless of how long I had to wait. Had this been a Superflex (where you can start two quarterbacks) league, I absolutely would've gone with a quarterback, but since it wasn't, Taylor was an easy choice.

Sigmund Bloom, Pick 1.06

It didn't influence my first-round pick. Regardless of the position of my first-round pick, I was going to stress durability and a high weekly floor that isn't prone to complete offensive breakdowns or game planning variability that introduces more risk.
