Buy Low, Sell High: Week 7

Sell Low

Josh Allen (QB-BUF) - Allen suffered a throwing shoulder injury in Week 6. While he won’t miss time, it’s very much within the range of possibilities that his fantasy performance drops off just like it did following an elbow injury he played through last year. The offseason storyline of the Bills not using Allen as much as a runner has come to fruition, which has lowered Allen’s weekly and season-long ceiling, and an injured shoulder won’t make the Bills more likely to use Allen as a runner, especially at the goal line. If you can cash in Goff for a quarterback who is viable but doesn’t have his name-brand value (say Jared Goff) and get something else that helps your lineup, or if you can swap him close to straight up for Patrick Mahomes II, Jalen Hurts, or Lamar Jackson, do it.

Bijan Robinson (RB-ATL) - Don’t sell Robinson in dynasty, but consider it in redraft. He doesn’t feel like a bust as a first-round pick who hasn’t had an extreme floor or ceiling game, but he isn’t in the top 12 PPR backs on a points-per-game basis, and he probably isn’t in line for goal-line opportunities or games with 20+ touches. Arthur Smith just emphasized the word "careful" in discussions of how the Falcons are handling Robinson. The next two opponents are very tough on the run (Tampa and Tennessee), and Robinson could continue a downward trend with three of the last four games coming in at least two points below his year-to-date average. He could be a buy-low if the Falcons offense grinds to a halt before a change at quarterback revives them. For now, it’s worth exploring if you can make a move to another back that went in the top seven of drafts or get lesser backs along with an important piece at a position of need for Robinson.
