Quarterbacks
| Rank | Player | Opponent | Salary |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Joe Flacco | at Steelers | $5,500 |
| 2 | Jameis Winston | vs Packers | $4,600 |
| 3 | Aaron Rodgers | vs Bengals | $5,400 |
In his four starts with the Bengals, Joe Flacco leads the NFL in passing yards per game (313.5) and pass touchdowns per game (2.8). Flacco leads a Bengals offense that ranks third in both Pass Rate Over Expected (PROE) and Early Down Pass Frequency (EDPF). He has a matchup against an average Steelers defense that doesn't scare us. Pittsburgh's defense ranks 19th in both EPA/Play Allowed and Dropback EPA Allowed. Shockingly, DraftKings has Flacco priced at just $5,500, making him the clear-cut cash game play at quarterback.
With Brian Daboll fired and Jaxson Dart out due to a concussion, Jameis Winston will get his first start of the season. Winston gets to play at home and is $900 cheaper than Joe Flacco, making him a cash game pivot at the quarterback position if you need the extra salary. Surprisingly, the Packers' defense only ranks 17th in Dropback EPA Allowed.
Aaron Rodgers ranks fifth in pass touchdowns per game (2) and gets to play at home against a terrible Bengals defense that ranks just 31st in both EPA/Play Allowed and Dropback EPA Allowed. If you prefer Rodgers to Flacco in cash, I get it.
Running Backs
| Rank | Player | Opponent | Salary |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Christian McCaffrey | at Cardinals | $9,000 |
| 2 | Josh Jacobs | at Giants | $7,800 |
| 3 | Chase Brown | at Steelers | $5,700 |
| 4 | Jaylen Warren | vs Bengals | $6,100 |
The 49ers are 2.5-point favorites. Christian McCaffrey leads the NFL in opportunities per game (27), ranks second in total yards per game (131.8), and ranks seventh in touchdowns (8). There is no better cash play on this slate.
The Packers are 7.5-point favorites, and last week, off the injury report for the first time in weeks now that his calf is healthy, Josh Jacobs saw a season-high 27 opportunities. He ranks fourth in opportunities per game (21.8), 12th in total yards per game (93.9), and second in touchdowns (11). He's a phenomenal play in all formats against a bad Giants defense that ranks just 28th in EPA/Play Allowed and 31st in Rush EPA Allowed.
Samaje Perine suffered a high ankle sprain early in Cincinnati's last game before their bye and won't play this week. This is an extremely significant injury. Perine's offensive snap percentages in his four games before the injury were 47%, 46%, 37%, and 42%. In Week 9, Chase Brown played on 96% of the offensive snaps and saw a season-high 25 opportunities, including 14 targets! Brown is priced affordably at $5,700 and gets a Steelers defense that ranks just 23rd in Rush EPA Allowed. He's a strong play in all formats.
The Steelers are 5.5-point home favorites, so Vegas believes the game script will be favorable for Jaylen Warren in this one. Warren ranks 19th in the NFL in opportunities per game and gets a bad Bengals defense that ranks 31st in EPA/Play Allowed and dead last in Rush EPA Allowed. Priced at just $6,100, Warren is in play in both cash and tournaments.
